FAQs
What is a credit?
Credits are the unit used in Paradigm to power your work. They cover actions like researching companies, enriching data, and generating outputs in your sheet.
How many credits does running a typical cell use?
Every cell costs at least 1 credit. More complex tasks may use more credits depending on how much research is required. Most cells are lightweight, but deeper analysis or harder-to-find data will cost more.
How much do credits cost?
Monthly plans include 80 credits per dollar on both Individual and Business. Annual billing increases that to 100 credits per dollar.
Top-ups are 50 credits per dollar on Individual and 75 credits per dollar on Business. Enterprise plans offer custom credit pricing at higher volumes.
How can I estimate how many credits a task will use?
Run your workflow on a small sample first. For example, run 10 rows and check how many credits were used. You can then scale that estimate to your full dataset. Most workflows are predictable within a reasonable margin.
What if my actual cost is different from my estimate?
Some rows may be harder to process than others, even within the same workflow.
If you need tighter cost control or predictability, we can support that through enterprise plans.
Why does the number of credits used per cell vary?
Paradigm runs live research, not just cached or pre-stored data. Some tasks are simple. Others require deeper investigation across multiple sources. Credits scale with the amount of work required, so you're only charged for actual usage.
How do included credits differ from top-up credits?
Included credits come with your plan and reset each month. Top-up credits are purchased separately and roll over unless you downgrade your plan.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You can either upgrade your plan or purchase additional top-ups for extra cells.
Do team members share the same usage?
Yes. Credits are pooled across your workspace.
What is a workflow?
A workflow is a set of columns working together to complete a task. For example, one column might research companies, another scores them, and another summarizes insights.
What are the benefits of an enterprise plan?
Enterprise plans include:
• Custom credit limits and lower per-credit pricing at scale
• Access to premium and internal data sources
• Custom seat count with role-based access controls
• SAML/OIDC SSO and domain auto-verification
• Dedicated account team and in-depth onboarding
• Optional tenant isolation for security
